South Cardiff Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Newcastle, Australia. The club was established in 1964 and currently competes in the NNSWF NEWFM Northern League 1 with youth & senior grades from 13's through to first grade as well as teams in the Junior Development League from 9s through to 12s
Our home field is Ulinga Oval, Cardiff South. Ulinga is one of the best facilities in the NEWFM Northern League One, having two main pitches plus two training fields.
South Cardiff is a club that focuses not just on success but providing an environment to nurture and develop young players within our youth program. As well as providing a clear pathway into higher grade teams and senior football.
South Cardiff FC are now taking expressions of interest for new and returning players for the 2022 season. EOIs are open for JDL U9s-U12s as well as NL1 U13s-U18s.
At South Cardiff we pride ourselves on our philosophy of youth development and our high quality, professional set up throughout the club. Our program delivered by licensed coaches aims to empower players to develop not only into good footballers but great people off the pitch, allowing youth to perform to the best of their ability both on and off the field.

Who are we?
South Cardiff Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Cardiff South a suburb of Newcastle, Australia. The club was established in 1964 and currently competes in the NNSWF Northern League 1. They are known as "The Gunners" after the nickname of London club Arsenal. The club in its current form celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014 although there is historical records of South Cardiff Football Club back to the 1930s at least. South Cardiff hold a historic record being the first team to score in the Round of 32 national knockout competition the FFA CUP. In 2015, South Cardiff were
relegated to the Northern NSW State League Division 1 for the 2016 season. The club's stated mission is to qualify for re-admission to the NNSW National Premier Leagues (NPL).
South Cardiff FC is proud to be a supporter of businesses throughout the Hunter. Wherever possible the club ensures that all goods and services are provided by sponsors of the club and businesses from our community.
In 2022 we will have approximately 170 registered players who receive a sponsor’s brochure from the club, outlining the sponsors and the services that they offer. We actively encourage our players to support our sponsors.
Our club and players are active on all forms of social media and we encourage our players to like, tag, share and re-post sponsors products, announcements and articles. The multiplying effect of social media is enormous and using the players at SCFC is an excellent way to extend your social media reach. On match day we have average home crowds of around 300 with an additional 140 home and away players and officials. All sponsorships may be tax deductible; however, you should confirm with your tax advisor. As a sponsor of the club you will also receive free advertising on our Business Plaza and Social Media as well as at all Club Events.
