South Cardiff Football Club was founded in 1964 and is a semi-professional football club based in Newcastle, Australia.
The club competes in the Northern League One, Premier Youth League & Junior Development League competitions with teams from Under 9's through to first grade men.
The Gunners were awarded Northern League One Club of the Year in 2023.
Our home field is Ulinga Oval, Cardiff South.

Who We Are
South Cardiff Football Club, proudly known as The Gunners, is a semi-professional football club with deep roots in the Hunter Region. Our club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014, although historical records trace South Cardiff FC back to the 1930's.
We hold a unique place in Australian football history, being the first team to score in the Australia Cup Round of 32. Currently competing in Northern League One, we are driven by a clear goal of returning to the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Northern NSW, a possibility now restored with the reintroduction of promotion and relegation.
In recent seasons, we have had success on the field across all programs and off the field, we have built a sustainable model to future proof our club for years to come. A few of our most recent achievements are outlined below.
